Rhinorails joins in the fight against rhino poaching

At Rhinorails we believe in sustainability and giving back to the community which is why one of our core values is our respect for the environment. With this in mind we have ensured that all of our products are long-lasting, designed for optimal energy efficiency and are 100% recyclable.
As a company we have decided to take this a step further and from September 2015 we will be contributing £5 from every heated towel rail sold to Save the Rhino International (UK registered charity 1035075) and we hope that we will inspire other local and international businesses to support this and other worthwhile causes.
Save the Rhino International supports all five rhino species and has a vision that all rhinos will be able to thrive in the wild for future generations. Save the Rhino International collaborates with partners across Asia and Africa, through on going fund-raising activities, providing grants and various conservation programmes, to support endangered rhinos.
In 2015 rhino poaching reached unprecedented levels in South Africa, which has the highest rhino population in the world, and has caused experts to warn that rhinos could go extinct in the very near future unless something dramatic is done to protect them.
These recent developments have started to raise more awareness about the plight of the rhino along with celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Professor Brian Cox, Michael Palin, Richard Dawkins and many more supporting causes such as Save the Rhino International.
According to Daily Mail reports Prince Harry has recently joined the fight against rhino poaching, assisting a military unit in the Kruger National Park, and going on night patrols with an army unit as part of the South African government’s anti-poaching campaign. Prince Charles and The Duke of Cambridge have also teamed up to combat and raise awareness about the illegal wildlife trade.
Save the Rhino International states that “Rhinos are facing an escalating poaching crisis at the moment and unless something dramatic is done to protect them they will go extinct in the wild”. If you are interested in helping, whether is it is through volunteer work, making a donation, or getting your company or work colleagues involved in a fund raising event, more information is available on their website.

STAINLESS STEEL HEATED TOWEL RAILS :: PROLIXUS

The Prolixus range is identical in design to the straight Ergo bathroom radiators but are a wider option for anyone needing a higher heat output. At 1000mm in width and 810mm high they are ideal for the larger bathroom.
As with all of our towel rails, the Prolixus can be fitted with an electric element with a built-in thermostat, allowing for optimal efficiency and power consumption.  Electric towel rails are filled with a water based inhibitor and allow for heating  though a process  of induction.  If you are intending to convert, our towel warmers should be fitted with CE approved electrical elements which contain a built in fuse for your added safety.
Our heated towel rails are all hand crafted and pressure tested before use and come with a  25 year guaranty against manufacturing defects. The horizontal and vertical bars on all of our  products are substantially thicker than most of our competitors resulting in improved sustainability and energy consumption. Be certain that you are comparing like with like before making your purchase.  The simplest way of making this comparison is to check the weights which are specified for the units.

STAINLESS STEEL HEATED TOWEL RAILS :: INFLECTO

Our Inflecto towel warmers form part of our designer range and are perfect for anyone looking to make a statement in their bathroom. Their curved design offers a modern and contemporary look and they make an excellent replacement to an existing bathroom radiator.
Hand-crafted from grade 304 stainless steel, our water circulating towel rails are protected against corrosion, rust and stains.  Their superior quality helps to improve efficiency through better heat distribution and means that they will outlast cheaper chrome varieties currently out there in the market.
Along with the Ergo and Prolixus, the Inflecto may easily be converted into a dual fuel towel rail using a dual fuel kit allowing them to be used with both the electric and central heating systems.  This provides the added advantage of them being able to be used all year round in conjunction with or independently of the central heating system.

STAINLESS STEEL HEATED TOWEL RAILS :: ERGO

The Ergo range of stainless steel heated towel rails are a very popular choice due to their simplistic design and sleek appearance.  The Ergo is manufactured using 100% stainless steel making it durable, long-lasting and easy to clean.
Polished to a mirror-like finish they look great in any bathroom whether it is a modern, classic or contemporary look you are after.
Our towel warmers are sold as central heating towel rails that can easily be connected to your central heating system.  The advantage of a CH towel rail is that it only requires the initial cost of the unit itself and no additional monthly running costs.
For an electric only towel rail, Intelligent Heating Technology (IHT), is the most efficient method of heating.  The recommended heating element has a built in thermostat that controls the maximum temperature of the unit at approximately 70ºc.  This results in energy and cost savings on a continuous basis.

BATHROOM DECORATING ON A BUDGET

Decorating your home can be a costly affair. From plumbing and electrics, to painting, tiling and furnishing – there is a lot to consider when it comes to paying up for interior design and décor.
Seen as your bathroom is such a vital part of your home, you’ll want to ensure it is full of functionality and the latest in design. Below we have listed a few cost-savvy ways to create a bathroom to suit your theme, style and budget in mind.
Cut down on the tiles
Tiles are essential to any bathroom space; they protect your walls from spills and splashes and also look great. But by the time you have bought enough tiles to fill your whole bathroom, found a professional and paid for the labour – your costs will be rather high. Instead, consider tiling only the necessary portions of your bathroom, such as the areas around your sink and bathtub. Paint the remaining walls with a complementing colour, to be left with a bathroom that looks chic and characterful.
Lay down the floor
Your choice of flooring will have the biggest impact on your bathroom. If you are looking to fill a rather large square foot of space, the costlier options come in the form of stone, rubber and vinyl flooring. Although they are great to look at, they can cost up to a staggering £50 per square metre. We advise browsing the cheaper range of linoleum and ceramic flooring, which come with a wider range of finishes, are water resistant and also perfectly easy to keep clean.
Get smart with surfacing
Many people splash out on expensive granite and marble worktops to provide their bathrooms with high quality finish. However, if you’re designing a bathroom on a budget, select from a range of affordable, sturdy and stylish worktops made from wood, gloss or polymarble. Available in a variety of colours and styles, you’re sure to find a surface for your bathroom that oozes the latest in style without breaking the bank.
Focus on features
The finer details of your bathroom such as sink and bath taps, towel rails, mirrors and light fixtures can quickly transform the overall look and feel of the room. So it’s good to set aside a budget for them when it comes to decorating. Towel rails and sink and bath faucets with a chrome finish are both stylish and durable. See our range of affordable chrome heated towel rails, which will look fantastic in any modern or traditional bathroom.
Remake and remodel
You can save a fortune on bathroom furniture and accessories by investing in second hand products. From sink cabinets, to mirror frames, bathroom vanity units and bathtubs – there isn’t a product for your bathroom you won’t find on sites such as eBay and Gumtree. The beauty of buying second hand is that you have more freedom to tweak, change and transform, to suit your style and bathroom needs, at very little cost. It also makes bathroom renovating more of a personal and fun DIY project.
